A Guide Who’s Been in the Seat
I founded Eskaygee to help privately held, employee-owned, and search fund / ETA-led lower-middle-market leadership teams grow with intention—not overwhelm. With a background spanning finance, M&A advisory, commercial construction, and IT services, and years working closely with ETA leaders and searchers, I understand firsthand what it means to lead in high-stakes environments. That depth of experience allows me to guide founders, CEOs, and aspiring CEOs through moments that matter—with clarity, steadiness, and structure that works.
Finding the Right Who
You don’t have to do it alone—but you do need the right who.
I’m often told my superpower is connecting people to the right solution—or more importantly, the right person. It’s why I’m drawn to Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy’s book Who Not How. Whether I’m guiding a business or connecting two founders, I thrive on helping people solve problems by finding the right who. That mindset drives everything we do at Eskaygee.
Outside the Office
Eskaygee sounds out the initials of my three wonderful daughters—Sadie (Es), Katherine (Kay), and Gracie (Gee). The business may be mine, but the name reminds me who I’m really doing this for.
When I’m not guiding leaders, I’m reading across genres, exploring new ideas, or rowing. My wife, Amy, introduced me to rowing (single sculling) and the Concept2 erg. I've since logged over six million meters and counting. Rowing is a rhythm, a grind, and a joy—just like building something that lasts.
Where it Comes Together
I bring together a unique blend of operating experience and advisory perspective—helping leadership teams drive execution without complexity, and align strategy with culture. My path includes:
