A few weeks ago, I couldn't write a single line of code.

Today I have version 1 of a fully functioning talent and AI readiness assessment platform. But that's not the story. The story is the question that led me to build it.

For years, the Pinnacle Business Guides Talent Assessment framework has helped leadership teams answer two critical questions: Do I have the Right People? Are they in the Right Seats? Those questions still matter — in fact, they matter more than ever. But as AI continues to change how work gets done, I became convinced there was a third question every leadership team needs to answer: Do we have the Right Future?

Which roles become more valuable? Which become vulnerable? Who is genuinely prepared to adapt? And where are we making assumptions that may no longer be true? These aren't hypothetical questions. They are leadership decisions being made right now — whether intentionally or by default.

That's why I built the Eskaygee Engagement System. It brings together Right Person, Right Seat, and Right Future in a structured process that helps leadership teams take an honest look at the people they are accountable for — not just for today's business, but for the future that's already taking shape.

What surprised me most wasn't the technology. I rebuilt parts of the system multiple times — not because the code was wrong, but because the thinking wasn't clear enough yet. Every restart traced back to the same issue: a business decision that hadn't been fully made. The lesson was humbling and consistent — clarity first, technology second.

And here's the part that still amazes me: the entire platform was built through collaboration with AI. No development team. No agency. No prior coding experience. For business owners, that's a signal worth paying attention to. AI is advancing quickly, but the bigger challenge isn't the technology. It's gaining clarity about your people, their roles, and how value will be created in the future.

The Eskaygee Engagement System is currently in beta. I'm looking for a small number of leadership teams — who want to be among the first to experience it. If you're curious what your team looks like through this lens, I'd welcome a conversation.

What questions are you asking about your team's Right Future?
